My first week’s in NUS

Dear all I cant do regular updates on my blog because of my new course what I am doing in NUS[National University of Singapore]. In this blog I want to share some of good moments during my first week in NUS . The course starts on Jan 29th 2010 and starts with a very good note with a team building session. I liked very much it was very interactive, funny and also describes the way how to be a good team player. The day ends with full of joy and excitement because I can’t believe me even weather me in NUS. What ever may be I am finally done.

The regular classes starts from Feb 1st 2010. In the first day onwards the course get the heat and we are on the hot seat The lecturers take the pace really very fast and we can’t even make up to their standards because more than 70% of the people’s are from the Non IT background. They find very difficult to match the expectation. Finally after a week every one get a clear idea about the course and now some of them are in a confusion weather to take the course are leave. Because the course structure is framed likewise. And even some of the students take the decision to quit and others are pedaling their feet faster to meet the fast pace of the lecturers.

The last week that is last four days we are having basic programming classes. This is somewhat manageable by many of them because that is carried out by one well experienced professor and he handle it well. On the whole NUS is very good and the standard is even better.

Property vs Knowledge

I have real trust on real time experience and am feeling at the moment in term of Education loan. Before applying for that I think that it is not a big deal getting a loan. Now am feeling the opposite way because the process is making me mad and confused and also the interest rate is vey high though they are telling low.

Also one big newsense is that the bank is throwing away loans to people who are culprits and don’t show mercy on people who are trustabe and honest. One more thing is that we are asking loan for Education for that they are following rules and regulation but for car loans, house loans they wont do like this immediately we will get a loan. I cant understand this senario, if you ask like this means they simply telling that for car and house loan they are having a gaurantee but for education loan whats the gaurantee. Finally comparing to knowlege and Property proprty wins. Nowadays there is no value for knowledge only money money money.

There is a famous song in tamil a old song [Kalviya Selvama Veerama]. By seeing this kind of situation there is no value for education and manliness.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said on Thursday that it would start issuing the 16-digit number to each resident of the country in February 2011.

They are going to start issuing the unique identification numbers (UIN) from February 2011. These numbers would be allotted on the basis of 11 biometrics including 10 fingerprints and iris. The UIDAI would not allot any card, but 16-digit numbers.

There would be eight regional offices of UIDAI and each such office would cover two-three states. So India will become the first country in the world to issue a unique identity number for each of its citizens.

Beware of mosquitoes

Hi guys let see the fast spreading viral cum mosquitoes disease Chikungunya.

Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) , that is transmitted to humans by Aedes mosquitoes. It causes illness with symptoms similar to dengue fever. Due to this infection of the joints persists for weeks or months, or in some cases years.

The Incubation period of Chikungunya disease is from 1 – 4 days. Symptoms of the disease include a fever up to 104 °F, joint pain, intense headache, extreme degree of prostration.

Effective means of prevention are protection against contact with the disease-carrying mosquitoes and mosquito control. No specific treatments for Chikungunya. It was one of the potential biological weapons before US suspended its biological weapons program.

So beware of mosquitoes friends.

After 26/11 are we safe now ?

Everyone know about the 26/11 incident which took place in Mumbai exactly 1 year back. One year after people are seeing that incident as a remembrance of a terrible black day.Media are taking some measures to ask the government about the measure that are taken to prevent the incident once again if it happens once again.

Yesterday night in on NDTV I saw a interview with P.Chidambaram our home minister. Various questions where asked about the incidents. He is telling the same thing that there is still various laps in the measures. He insisting that the state government are not coordinating well to the situation he also tells that there is a huge gap of recruitment process in the constables selection. He tells that the ratio of the police is very less for a country like India. Also he tell that we can’t do the things immediately because of the procedures to follow in the Indian Government. So the thing is we should wait to see the results.
